REGULATIONS
1. The Quick Start Format shall be employed in
the BG10 divisions of all USTA Virginia
L5 and L6 tournaments
- Ball = ITF Stage 2 [Orange, 50% reduced compression http://is.gd/4UjDS

- Court = 60’ x 21’ singles, 60’ x 27’ doubles

- Court Marking Lines: examples of acceptable court
marking lines include: 3” roll-down lines http://is.gd/4UiAB & http://is.gd/4UiC3

and 2” wide painters tape http://is.gd/4UilB. On clay
courts QuickStart lines may be marked in using line sweeps / brushes.
- Draw Types = non-elimination (round-robin or compass)
- Match Format = Best-of-three short sets; the first to
win four games wins a set. For the third set, the first player to win
seven points wins the match (7-point match tie-break).
- Scoring = No-Ad
2. The ITF Stage 1 Tennis Ball [Green, 25%
reduced compression, http://is.gd/4UjDS] may be used in the BG 18-12 divisions of L6 /
Novice tournament play.

that this is the ball that will be used on the tournament’s homepage.
