Event General Descriptions

Tennis Festival – An event to attract people with little or no tennis experience to the sport. This is an all ages event.

Play Day – An event to introduce competition in a low-pressure setting where results are not documented. This is a 10 and Under event.

Event Information

USTA/Virginia Tennis is pleased to offer up to 50 prizes for your event in 2012 (based on the estimated number of participants). To be eligible for our support, your organization must be a current USTA Organizational Member and the application must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to your event to Donny Weed at donny@virginiatennis.com or by fax at 757-965-7111. USTA Virginia staff assistance may also be requested (if scheduling allows) for events with a 6:1 ratio of participants to volunteers.

Pre-Event Information
USTA/Virginia Tennis will use the information you submit above to promote your event by:
1. Adding your event to our Calendar of Events on virginiatennis.com.

2. Including your event in the monthly USTA/Virginia Community Tennis Newsletter which is distributed to all USTA Organizational members in Virginia.

Post-Event Information
Please submit a news release about your event after completion. This may be as detailed as you like, but we do encourage you to include a photo from your event. Both of these pieces should be emailed to Donny Weed at donny@virginiatennis.com in a timely fashion post-event. This information will be posted to www.virginiatennis.com.

Additional Information
USTA/Virginia will provide prizes for one (1) event per organization in 2012. Maximum number of prizes provided will not exceed 50 per event.
